Weekly Wishes #6

Last Week's Wishes
1.  Appreciate the positive:  Wow, last week was a tough one to keep up this goal.  It seemed like bad stuff was around every corner, but when I reflected on all of that bad stuff, I realized that none of it was so bad that it had to affect my mood or even the flow of my day.  It was hard, but I tried to ignore the negative and focus on the positive.

2.  Pack up for camping:  Done.  I will be posting about our trip soon.  Spoiler alert: It rained.  But we still had fun.

March Wishes
1.  Write, write write: My writing class starts this week, which I am super excited for, and I definitely want to give my best effort.  I don't know what's going to happen throughout the course, but I can't wait to find out.  Plus, I just got a writing desk for my birthday, so I have to start putting it to use!

2.  Practice photography: I have a DSLR at home, but I still don't really know how to use it.  Right now, it just seems like a bunch of intimidating knobs and buttons and oh god, if I push that one will I ever be able to get it back to the way it is now??  What if I mess it up forever?  So, I need to get over that and get practicing.

This Week's Wishes
1.  Craft More: I love crafting and DIY, but I haven't really carved out time to do it.  We all know life gets super busy and it seems like I just keep on piling on new responsibilities, but that's how it goes.  If you wanna get stuff done, you just gotta do it.

As always, I'll keep you updated on how I do this week.  By the way, weekly wishes is a link-up The Nectar Collective hosts each week where people write about their goals or challenges they want to achieve for the week.  Hence... weekly wishes!

  1. Your thoughts on the DSLR were exactly my thoughts, too! You just have to take that chance and play with the camera a lot, read a bunch of guides, etc. I think your pictures look good already! I hope you share your experience in the writing class! Oh and speaking of crafting, I have a super easy DIY on my blog today that you could try! :)

  4. Don't be afraid of the camera, it's not as hard as it seems. I had the same problem in the beginning but with some practice I've gotten better.
Good luck with all your wishes. Have a great week.

  5. Love it! Focusing on positive can definitely be difficult, I frequently have to remind myself to do just that. But it can really be a mood booster when you realize that all the bad stuff isn't quite so bad! xx, Elizabeth
