Weekly Wishes #7


Last Week's Wishes
1.  Craft More: I did not do this.  I'll be honest.  I don't think I made a singly crafty thing, aside from little paper crafts made with my students for them to take home.  Honestly, I'm feeling extremely uninspired when it comes to DIY projects.  Even browsing Pinterest, I hardly ever spot anything that really sparks anything in me.  Any ideas??  What's your favorite craft I could try?  I did mess around with Illustrator though and came up with this!  So if you consider this crafting, I guess I did one thing.

This Week's Wishes
1.  Write:  I've got a writing assignment that's due on Tuesday, and my prompt is simply: The Window.  I have 500 words to describe a fictional situation involving a window.  Wanna take a stab at writing your own bit of fiction?  I'd love to hear what you come up with.
2.  Build strength and stamina:  I don't really wanna lose weight.  I'm happy with my size, small though I am, but I would love to start building some muscle and getting in shape.  In addition to yoga, I really want to try some more strength training exercises.  Any ideas/tips/helpful hints?  We don't have a gym close to us, so it'd have to be exercises I can do at home.  Seems like everything I find online are weight loss programs. Not complaining, though, because losing weight is totally awesome!  Anything you're doing to reach your best self, whatever that looks like to you, is totally cool in my book.

  1. Try looking on Youtube at Tone It Up videos. They are great strength training and toning exercise so you don't bulk up, but build pretty lady-like muscles :)

  2. I'm totally not a fitness expert but maybe you can try some of the 30 Day Fitness Challenges? Been doing the ab and butt ones and I think my muscles becoming stronger (I *think*)

  4. I totally get where you're coming from - I'm at that stage where I don't need to lose pounds, but I need to tighten and tone. Unfortunately, since I don't need to lose weight, everyone jumps all over me whenever I mention anything about exercising or working out.

    I did really well with Jillian's 30 Day Shred last year, like could notice a difference 20 days in, but then I stopped on Day 24 and haven't picked it back up. It's always on the endless to-do list but always at the bottom. *sigh*
