Weekly Wishes #9
Last Week's Wishes
1. Treat myself: I rocked this one as far as I'm concerned. I got my hair did and it was awesome, and I'm so glad to have finally found a hair stylist who knows how to cut my crazy, thick, unruly hair. I also engaged in some much needed retail therapy.
2. Get a new tattoo: I didn't get a new tattoo, but I commissioned a super cool artist to design my next one, and it's looking good so far. Hopefully I can get it done over summer break!
This Week's Wishes
1. Keep trucking on the novel: This week, I started writing a new book and I really want to keep it up. My problem is that my inspiration for new stories seem to fizzle out before I can finish them, but this time, I really want to finish it just for the sake of getting it done, you know? Just to prove to myself that I can write a full-length novel.
2. Do some soul searching: There are some things that I really need to reflect on in my life right now. There are things I need to figure out if I want to keep in my life. There are things that I need to figure out the next step to, like this blogging thing. I also need to figure out where I want to be in 5... 10 years and start making a plan to get myself there.
As always, I'll keep you updated on how I do this week. By the way, weekly wishes is a link-up The Nectar Collective hosts each week where people write about their goals or challenges they want to achieve for the week. Hence... weekly wishes!

I need a treat myself day! Sadly, it may have to wait until after our wedding is over in May. But hey, at least by that point it will be summer...and warm.
ReplyDeleteYay for treating yourself! I'm looking forward to seeing the new tattoo design, and good luck with your novel and soul-searching!
ReplyDeleteWow! You're writing a novel!? That is so great! I am very impressed- that takes some real dedication. Enjoy your soul searching this week- I think we should all take some time to do that every once in a while.
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome that you're in the process of writing a novel! One of my coworkers is an aspiring movie director and is always working on scripts. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm writing a novel too! Here's to keeping on keeping on! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean about novels... I've tried in vain for the last to NaNoWriMos to crank something out, and I always fizzle out halfway through because I hit a rough patch or a scene I haven't entirely worked out. I have one patiently waiting on my desktop for me to return to it... I started writing it this winter break, bought a fancy notebook just for it, wrote up all these family trees and fun facts about characters and then... blah. I need to get back to it. Maybe we can support each other! xx, Elizabeth
