Weekend Walk

The above were shot in my backyard.  Unfortunately, I don't know any of the names of the plants, because they're all Hawaiian and therefore, mostly a bunch of vowels stuck together with a few consonants thrown in for good measure.  The dogs enjoyed my excursion because they got to run around outside for much longer than usual.

This weekend we have a friend's birthday party to go to, and obviously, Superbowl happenings are going on tomorrow.  Of course, my body chooses this time to come down with a cold. ;) I was just thinking the other day about how lucky I am that I haven't gotten sick very much this school year, so I guess I kinda did this to myself.  Here's hoping I'm feeling better by Monday.

One more bit of awesomeness... I don't have to make my commute next week!  I mean, I'm still making a commute, but it'll be in the opposite direction so... different things to see outside my car window.  And I won't have to wake up as early, hopefully.  Teacher training is not all bad...

Have an amazing weekend!

  1. What a lovely backyard! It makes me miss my grandma's garden! Oh, and what exactly is that owl thing? Just some decoration? or is it a vase?

    1. It's a path light, actually! :) I love owls, so my boyfriend brought it home for me one day, and now it's a cute little addition to the front of our house. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
