Last Week's Wishes
1. Clean my car: I did this one! I went to my boyfriend's shop one day after work and washed my car and cleaned out the inside. I can tell you that Jeep Liberty's are seriously the hardest car in the world to wash properly because there's so many cracks and crevices for dirt and tar to get in. It doesn't help that I have a 45 minute commute both ways every day.
2. Meditate daily: Okay, so I didn't meditate EVERY day, but I did meditate several times a week, which I'm calling a success. I just finished a yoga session and I'm feeling awesome right now. It's funny how you can go into a session feeling overwhelmed and weighted down and finish feeling calm and weightless.
3. Call my mom: Did this one too! I called my mom the other day to tell her that I just got news I get to keep my teaching job next year, which is a big deal because I was sure I was going to have to switch grade levels, which I really didn't want to do. We had a nice long chat about stuff and things.
So my old weekly wishes got done. Time for some new ones!
This Week's Wishes
1. Catch up on reading: I want to get some reading done this week. I'm currently working my way through Stephen King's Doctor Sleep and Gretchen Rubin's The Happiness Project. I won't say how long, but I've been working through both of them for a long time and it's time to finish them already so I can start something else.
2. Be more present at work: Teaching is an extremely energy draining, time consuming job that comes with a lot of pressure. I find myself so concerned with complying with my school's expectations and collecting the data I need to finish my portfolios that I don't enjoy my time with my kids as much as I should. This week I want to put the focus back on having fun with them.
As always, I'll keep you updated on how I do this week. By the way, weekly wishes is a link-up The Nectar Collective hosts each week where people write about their goals or challenges they want to achieve for the week. Hence... weekly wishes!
P.S. I'm part of a giveaway over at Lipgloss and Crayons so go enter here. It's a $250 J.Crew gift card, so... get going and good luck!

DeleteGood luck with all your wishes this week! I'm trying to read more this year but it seems that between school and life, I never have enough time! I try to read a little before bed each night because it relaxes me. Plus it isn't good to look at electronics before going to sleep :) Love your photography by the way and so happy I found your blog!
