It was Steven's birthday on Thursday, so we decided to take a little trip this weekend to Waikoloa. I was super glad that we did, because seriously, I needed to get out of the house. There's only so much baking that I can legitimately do without going a little crazy. And playing fetch. Dear lord, Layla loves playing fetch, which I don't really understand, because it's seriously just me throwing a toy across the room over and over again. Yeesh. Anyway, the hotel was super nice and the room was massive, and it was cool to go to a beach with some actual sand.
I'll never get tired of taking pictures of flowers, apparently. I don't even know what these are called, but they're pretty, and they're definitely growing a lot better than the orchids I have at home. Whoops.
I seriously have to take about a hundred pictures with this guy to get one where we're both smiling. He messes around too much to ever get a good one, but on the plus side, it makes me laugh. Like in this one:
